BT Sports: Provided By Setanta

According to a report in today’s Irish Times, Mickey O’Rouke, who owns Setanta, will be offering BT Sports to Irish customers. Setanta Sports will be offing a bundle with five channels included – Setanta Ireland, Premier Sports, BT Sports 1 and 2 along with whatever is left of the ESPN channel.

Currently Setanta costs Irish viewers €17 on Sky and €16 on UPC. With the new bundle being available, it seems unlikely that the price will stay the same.

This has big implications for Irish UFC fans as currently ESPN is available for free with Sky Sports package on the Sky platform and €10 with UPC.

More details will be available when this agreement is formally announced on Monday morning.
